Executive Coaching
Chris coaches leaders in innovative, tech-driven SMEs (10-500 people) and blends psychological insight with real-world executive experience to provide a coaching process that’s strategic, grounded, and impactful.
Why have a coach?
Executives in SME’s report that they receive very little professional development. Formal learning is time consuming and doesn’t always have impact, leaving leaders to learn on the job, which is valuable, but can be better harnessed by engaging with a coach to support your development and help you to better navigate the challenges you’re facing. A good coach will help formalise your development in a way which is time effective and high-impact, bringing accountability, clarity and structure to enhance both your performance and enjoyment of your role.
The process
Coaching is a confidential and dynamic partnership tailored to your ambitions and challenges. While sessions provide space for you to think and gain clarity, I also bring a blend of practical experience and psychological insight to our conversations.
You can expect thoughtful questions, but also ideas, examples, frameworks, and constructive feedback designed to generate fresh perspectives, clarify complex challenges, and create actionable plans. This pragmatic approach ensures we work effectively towards your goals, balancing insightful exploration with tangible action. Sessions are typically monthly for 90 minutes, either remotely or in person in London.
The results
Executive coaching empowers clients to make progress on immediate issues, while also supporting longer-term change and development. While client goals are unique, you can expect significant progress in the following areas:
Strategic & execution skills: Improved strategic focus and decision making skills, greater capabilities to navigate and manage change, and enhanced personal effectiveness through better prioritisation, time management and anticipating future challenges.
Leadership effectiveness: Sharpened communication and interpersonal skills, clarity on your authentic leadership style and strengths, reduced blindspots, improved ability to guide and motivate teams, navigate conflict, enhanced stakeholder management and influence and improved management competencies (e.g. effective delegation, constructive accountability).
Personal development & mindset: A clearer understanding of your goals and values, improved confidence and resilience, reduced stress and self-doubt, greater sense of alignment between personal and professional priorities and broader perspective.
Why Chris (coaches)
I've always been energised by supporting the growth of others; it's fundamental to who I am and connects to a long-standing interest in human development and what makes change possible. My personal commitment to psychological development, rooted in contemplative practice and extensive experience in mentoring and mental health, forms the foundation of my ability to effectively listen, guide, and help others create lasting change.
This personal passion is complemented by over fifteen years as an HR professional spent in the dynamic world of high-growth technology businesses. Having been a key executive rapidly scaling a startup to a unicorn exit, and partnering closely with dozens of leaders across multiple growth businesses, I've been 'in the trenches' myself. This brings a practical understanding of the challenges and pressures you face. These experiences, combined with formal training in executive coaching (AOEC, 2017) and accreditation as a counsellor (BACP, 2014), ensures that our work together is not only a safe and insightful space but is also practical and results-oriented.
