Executive Coaching

One to one coaching focused on the development of leaders in start-ups and innovative growth businesses.

My clients are CEO’s, Founders and start-up Executives who are typically in their first or second leadership role, at organisations ranging from 10-500 people. I’ve also worked with leaders in nonprofits and various creative businesses.

What are sessions like? In my coaching work I focus on supporting effectiveness and enabling development. Our conversations are a reflective space where we refine goals, understand the obstacles, explore solutions, develop insights and make tangible plans to help you become increasingly effective. As a coach I am a grounded and competent thinking partner, who is focused on introducing new possibilities, creating clarity and supporting accountability.

What are the results? Frequent areas of improvement for my clients are: greater leadership capabilities (inspiring others, constructive accountability, effective prioritisation, setting clearer direction) improved self-awareness and mindset (increased motivation, greater perspective and clarity, reduced stress) and more effective and empathetic communication (better insights into others, improved conflict resolution skills and overall healthier working relationships).

What’s the set-up? We’ll have an intro call to discuss what you’re looking for and explore a little, which helps give you a sense of how we might work together. Moving forwards, I then typically meet coaching clients for a 90 minute session every three weeks, with a mix of in-person and remote sessions. Depending on needs I usually recommend we have six sessions together and try to achieve all goals during that period.

How does your background inform your coaching work? In my HR career I played the role of trusted confidant, advisor and support to CEO’s and executives operating under significant pressure. I’ve spent over a decade in this player-coach position, listening to, supporting and challenging leaders within organisations. As a leader of HR functions in multiple scale-ups I’ve also worked through the opportunities and challenges of high-growth, being an active participant in strategic decisions on evolving and pivoting company plans and strategy, redefining products, going through large scale organisational change and transitions, as well as involvement in two vertical acquisition and integration processes. All of these experiences inform how I work, underpinned by my coaching and mental health training and practice. As an INTJ profile I am rational, curious and inventive.
